MAJESTIC IS A MARKET FOR RISKS IN A DIVERSITY OF CLASSIFICATIONS with estimated annual premiums of $35,000, after the application of an experience rate factor, schedule rate or other plans. Risks must be established with not less than three years in business, creditworthy and managed by individuals who are committed to working in partnership with us to control losses and reduce the net cost of their workers' compensation insurance.
We offer guaranteed cost and loss sensitive pricing in the form of retrospectively rated plans and a large risk deductible option available in California only. We require that loss sensitive programs be secured by a letter of credit or bond from a bank or other financial institution approved by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
COLLECTIVELY BARGAINED WORKERS’ COMPENSATION (CBWC)
Majestic Insurance Company has been approved as a participating carrier by all major California CBWC programs for the construction industry. Also known as carve-outs or alternative dispute resolution programs, these are available to unionized employers who, in cooperation with the unions they are signatory with, have formed a CBWC program pursuant to California Labor Code Section 3201.5. .
The following programs are available through Majestic:
- NECA - a statewide program for electrical contractors.
- CalSMACNA – a statewide program for HVAC contractors (excluding the Bay Area).
- Southern California Carpenters – for employers signatory with the Carpenters union.
- Southern California Operating Engineers - for employers signatory with Local Union 12 of the Operating Engineers.
- P.I.P.E. – for employers signatory with one or more of the local unions of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters in Southern California.
- Southern California Laborers – for employers signatory with one or more of the local unions of the Laborers International Union in Southern California.
- Ironworkers - a statewide program for employers signatory with one or more local unions of the District Council of Ironworkers of California and Vicinity.
- Basic Crafts – for employers in the forty-six counties of Northern California who are signatory with the Carpenters, Laborers or Operating Engineers.
- UA 447 – for employers in the Sacramento area who are signatory with Local Union 447 of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
- UA District Council 36 – for employers in the San Joaquin Valley who are signatory with Local Union 62, 228, 246, or 442 of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
