- We will conduct an initial claim service call within seven (7) days of policy inception to provide information on and answer your questions about claim reporting, forms, coordination and general case management policies.
- We will initiate a Three-Point Contact within twenty-four (24) hours of a loss being reported to us; contacting the injured worker, contacting the employer, and contacting the medical provider, if applicable.
- We will respond to your inquiries on specific claims verbally within twenty-four (24) hours of request and if appropriate follow-up in writing within seven (7) days.
- We will provide claim reviews, as needed, on all open claims, tailoring these reviews to meet your claims management needs.
- We will direct your employees to preferred physicians, clinics and other medical providers to maximize the savings available through our cost containment programs.
- We will utilize our Special Investigative Unit, when applicable, to aggressively defend your interests with claims that we suspect to be fraudulent or have no merit.
- We will provide personal medical case management services as needed for serious injury claims.
Management continually reviews examiner case files. Caseloads average 140 claims per examiner. We are committed to maintaining caseloads at a level that permits examiners to manage their claim inventory effectively.
- We treat all injured workers as valued employees of our policyholders while controlling the ultimate net cost of claims.
- We investigate all claims for compensability.
- We refer to the proper authorities any claim that we think may involve fraudulent activity.
- We pay prompt and accurate benefits on all claims that we have determined to be compensable.
- We comply with all applicable state and federal laws.
- We reserve equitably and fairly for ultimate claim cost.
- We encourage communication and involvement with our policyholders and keep them informed on the status of claims.
- We reduce the net cost of our policyholders’ workers’ compensation insurance through effective claims management.
