UNDERWRITING SERVICES
Majestic is committed to building and maintaining its position as a lead underwriter in the workers' compensation industry. We have an experienced staff of insurance professionals dedicated to risk selection in support of the Company's growth and profitability goals. We act ethically and with integrity in our policyholder and producer client relationships.
POLICY
- We comply with all applicable state and federal laws and with the manuals and procedures in use by the Company.
- We offer insurance products structured to meet the needs of our clients and the long-term financial success of our stakeholders.
- We will respond within fourteen (14) days of receipt of submissions and issue new and renewal coverage decisions within agreed upon time frames.
- We issue policies within thirty (30) days of policy inception or receipt of all necessary issuance information.
- We issue endorsements within two (2) weeks of receipt of all necessary information.
- We complete final audits within sixty (60) days of policy expiration given the availability of all necessary information.
- We make retrospective rating calculations within forty-five (45) days of the calculation date as specified in the retrospective rating plan endorsement.
- We value long-term relationships with our policyholder and producer clients working together to reduce costs and manage risks effectively.
UNDERWRITING GUIDELINE
We are a market for...
- Better than average risks in a diversity of classifications with estimated annual premiums of $35,000 or after the application of experience rating factors, schedule rating or other rating plans.
- Washington accounts with a minimum of $10,000.
- Risks with state act workers' compensation in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Washington.
We want risks that are...
- Established and with not less than three years in business.
- Creditworthy
- Managed by individuals who are committed to working in partnership with us to control losses and reduce the net cost of their workers' compensation insurance.
We need a...
- Complete application, including a description of operations.
- Minimum of the four most recent years' payroll and currently-valued loss information.
- WCIRB or NCCI survey report, if available.
- Current experience modification worksheet, if available.
- Majestic Insurance supplemental questionnaire.
- Description of all losses over $25,000.
- Policyholder's most recent audited annual financial statement and quarterly statement if EAP exceeds $500,000.
